I passed my matriculation from Kanya Uchya Vidyalaya School, Gaya and went on to complete my graduation and post-graduation from Gautam Budhha Mahila College, Gaya which is affiliated to Magadh University, Bodhgaya, Bihar. While I was graduating, I was also quite active in co-curricular activities such as poetry reading and writing, singing, cooking, working on embroidery, stitching, etc. I also went on to win an award of merit in the art of embroidery in ‘The Anchor’ for the ‘Spot Embroidery Contest’.
After completing my post-graduation, I got married and took a break of few years. Later, since I did my post-graduation in Home Science, I decided to undertake a research project in the same field for the fulfillment of the award of Ph. D. The topic of my research was ‘A Study of Behavior Problems and Adjustment Pattern of the Children of Working and Non-Working Mothers’. The age of children ranged from eight to fourteen years.
While my Ph. D. was in final stages of evaluation, I was appointed as Assistant Professor of Home Science in Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya. Since then I have been a part of this esteemed college that entrusted me with their Department of Home Science.
